Grudge Matches 2015

TWIL Grudge Match Season 2015

Grudge Matches are matches unrelated to any other TWIL event. They are not part of any tournament/cup, ladder or league. Teams that did sign-up for Grudge Matches will be invited by TWIL to play a match against an other team. Such a match is called a Grudge Match and consists out of 2 maps being played (2 round on each map). The winner of a Grudge Match will be rewarded with a prize of 50 US$.

Rules

Updated: Sunday, May 3rd 2015

  1. A clan/group may only join with 1 team. Joining with more than one team will result in disqualification of all those teams.

  2. In case of a tie after both Grudge Maps have been played (2 rounds per map), then the Grudge Match ends and there will be no wining or losing team. This means no prize will be given in case of a tie. (added 2015/2/1)

  3. In case both teams do not schedule (and play) the match within 14 days after the draw date, then those teams will skip the next draw round. The draw date can be found here. (added 2015/2/1)

  4. In case a match is played after more than 14 days from the draw round date, then the match result will be discarded. The draw date can be found here. (added 2015/2/1)

  5. In case a team receives a Grudge Match invitation from the staff, then (added 2015/5/3)

    • The team has 3 days time to decline a Grudge Match invitation starting from the send date of the invitation email. If they decline within 3 days, then it will not have any consequences for the next draw round. If the invitation is declined after 3 days, then the declining team will skip the next draw round.
    • In case a team declined an invitation and there are at least 5 days left before the round end date, then the TWIL staff will do a random redraw for a replacement team within the same division as the declining team. The replacement team will receive an invitation for which the above rule applies.

  6. In case a team did not decline the invitation, though refuses to schedule and play the Grudge Match within 14 days from the draw round date, then the opposing team can request for a no-show. In this case a support ticket must be submitted from here and screenshots of communication with the refusing team must be handed over to TWIL. If the no-show is granted, then rule 6 shall apply and the willing team shall automatically be chosen for the next Grudge Match. (updated 2015/5/3)

  7. In case a team does not show up on the scheduled match date, then the match shall be handled as a cancelled match. This means no prize money shall be given to the other team, instead that team shall automatically be chosen for the next Grudge Match.

  8. It is mandatory that Grudge Matches are played on the servers provided by TWIL and on a server assigned to the division of the teams (the division of the server can be found in the server name). Results of Grudge Matches played on any other server will be discarded. (updated 2015/5/3)

  9. Grudge Matches must be played with 8 players per team. Results of matches played with less than 8 players will be discarded.

  10. All other TWIL rules apply as is (with exception of the no-show rule).

  11. TWIL reserves the right to update these rules during the Grudge Match season.
